Fear is an obstacle that will hinder one from receiving Gods Grace.
There was a period in time when I would send my grandchildren and a few of their friends weekly devotionals. With it I would include a question or two and a small prayer of confession.
One particular devotional was specific, it was to not allow fear to become an obstacle.
This morning as I was studying and began to feast on it, a common phrase God speaks to comfort and encourage us as we face life’s challenges, is to live with courage as we trust Him.
You see, although not fully recognized, one of the main attacks of the enemy he will use, is to get us to live in fear and keep our expectations set to believe everything will be bad.
In each of our lives, we are going to face challenges. We will face seen and unseen enemies, in the natural and spiritual, which will require us to dig deep and dig with courage.
The ultimate result is finding courage to do what needs to be done even when it’s not easy, and when we do step out in the courage of the Lord, God will meet us with power!
Psalm 23:4 reads, yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
John 14:17 reads: peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you, let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
and one more,
Deuteronomy 31:6 reads,
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave
you nor forsake you.
There are multiple scriptures that cover “courage” for our journey, we have to choose to allow them operate in our lives. It’s a choice we have been freely given.
QUESTION
Is there anything you’ve been afraid to do?
I encourage you, decide to trust God, be bold, ask a friend to pray, and then step out in faith!
CONFESSION
No matter the circumstances, I will be courageous! As I step in faith, God will give me courage!
