Can You See The Images

Sunshine….this morning as I am remembering a drive into work once, the sun was just rising up, just enough to see the rays across the layers of the clouds,  I was thinking “it truly is a beautiful site”. However, as I came down Givens Hill there was a thick layer of fog hovering over the road, I was no longer able to see the rays.

Not sure why my mind began to search and look up towards the sky but when I did I could still see the image, the outline of the sun through the thick fog.

So I turn my thoughts towards Jesus (the Son) and am reminded of what his death on the cross must have appeared as…dark, gloomy, uncertain, sadness, heaviness, overwhelming, many things go through my mind with this image but then I think of the times when we ourselves are in the valley or we feel alone, unable to see beauty, unable to see goodness, unable to feel thankful, sometimes the fog, the storms or clouds in our lives work towards stealing our hopes, our dreams, our hearts desires.

Looking up that day the Holy Spirit was telling me to always remember to look up for the images, for the silhouettes knowing that Jesus is still there. There may have been many thoughts, emotions and silent pleas the day Jesus hung on the cross but He is no longer there and because of it we have a hope, a brighter tomorrow, we have an inner strength that pushes us to the other side of the fog.

Sometimes, to speak even louder in our life on those dark days the images He shows us may come in the form of a smile, it may come from a word of encouragement, it may come from a simple pat on the back…there are many ways the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf, God sends us reminders daily, we just have to remember to look up when it seems cloudy or dark around us…

About Me

My name is Kim Brasher. I started writing back in 2015 not ever really believing I would go any further than just encouraging myself. As I have grown in my relationship with my Heavenly Father, I discovered writing is a gift I have, and as I began to share it with others the Lord encouraged me to go wider with it.

Thoughts to Ponder are just that, something to meditate over, something to consider. How does it relate to you? There is no right or wrong in your answer, we are all on a journey and we each grow differently at different places.

My prayer is that you will be blessed by reading and may you become encouraged. Please feel free to leave your feedback, as it is always welcomed.
