Without A Vision People Perish

Several month’s ago, I saw a picture of a little girl standing on a table, I don’t know maybe she was 5 or 6 but she was standing in front of a full length body mirror and holding up  a long white wedding dress to herself.   Looking at her, you would see an ordinary little girl holding a dress. But when you look at her in the mirror you saw this beautiful young woman on her wedding day…this little girl had a beautiful vision of wearing that dress one day and seeing herself as the beautiful bride she was seeing in her mirror.

As I reminisced over my own life and some of the things I had imagined for myself, none of what I can recall dreaming about turned out as I imagined. I can recall small moments of things that made me happy, things that made me sad, there were things that brought pain. There were a lot of valleys I walked through along the way that were not part of any visions or imaginations I had.

However, As I look in my mirror today and see where I am, I can say my visions have came to fruition and supersede anything I could have ever imagined for myself.

In Proverbs 29:18 it states “Where there is no vision, the people perish: But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.“

With this thought in mind, visions do not come without trial and error, sometimes there are struggles, sometimes the thought process cannot compute, sometimes you may walk down a path that is 80 degrees opposite to what you envisioned. However, if we will be persistent in the vision, it you remain steadfast and not waver, it will come to pass. It will come with more knowledge, more wisdom and more value.

Visions build futures, visions produce encouragement, visions add to life.

So my thoughts this morning provoke the questions…..what is your vision today? What are you seeing in your mirror?

About Me

My name is Kim Brasher. I started writing back in 2015 not ever really believing I would go any further than just encouraging myself. As I have grown in my relationship with my Heavenly Father, I discovered writing is a gift I have, and as I began to share it with others the Lord encouraged me to go wider with it.

Thoughts to Ponder are just that, something to meditate over, something to consider. How does it relate to you? There is no right or wrong in your answer, we are all on a journey and we each grow differently at different places.

My prayer is that you will be blessed by reading and may you become encouraged. Please feel free to leave your feedback, as it is always welcomed.
